Gangotri Temple – The Sacred Origin of River Ganga

Gangotri Temple, located at an altitude of 3,100 meters in the Garhwal Himalayas, is one of the holiest pilgrimage sites in India. Dedicated to Goddess Ganga, this sacred shrine marks the origin of the River Ganga, which is considered the lifeline of India and a symbol of purity and salvation. The temple is a key part of the Chardham Yatra, attracting thousands of devotees every year.
